Distinguished from its siblings by the "CLC" (Contrast Light Compensator) metering system — Minolta's proprietary dual-cell TTL arrangement that reads both the centre and periphery of the viewfinder field simultaneously — the SRT 303 delivers more balanced exposures in mixed-light situations than single-cell competitors of the era. The top plate carries the clear "SRT 303 CLC" designation alongside the Minolta logotype, and the top-deck ASA dial (ASA 6–6400) confirms the camera's versatility across a wide range of emulsions.
The body is paired with the correct-era Minolta MD 50mm f/1.7 standard lens, identifiable by its compact black barrel, diamond-knurled rubber focus grip, and ø49mm filter thread.
