A striking modernist bangle bracelet by the renowned Finnish silversmith Kupittaan Kulta, Turku. The bold, architectural design features an open rectangular frame in sterling silver with a large round spectrolite (Finnish labradorite) cabochon set asymmetrically, creating a dramatic contrast between the cool geometry of the metalwork and the deep, lustrous play of colour within the stone. Fully hallmarked on the interior: maker's mark, Finnish heart guarantee stamp, 925 sterling silver, city and date letter, and "MADE IN FINLAND." Kupittaan Kulta, founded in 1917 and active until the 1990s, was one of Finland's leading jewelry manufacturers and is today highly regarded among collectors of Scandinavian modernist design. The bracelet is in good vintage condition consistent with age and wear.
