Chinese Bronze Tripod Censer "Xianglu" with Buddha Character, Lion Masks & Apocryphal Xuande Mark — Late Qing / Republic, c. 1880–1930
CHF 1450.00
Heavy cast bronze incense burner in archaistic tripod form, with twin upright pierced handles, paired lion-mask shoulders and lion-paw feet. The body is worked in high relief with Buddhist characters — including the prominent character 佛 (Buddha) — on a finely punched fish-roe ground; the underside bears a four-character apocryphal Xuande seal mark. Original incense patina inside — an honest, used altar piece.
